Wild silkworms that have existed for more than 1,000 years in Japan are in danger ofextinction. 　　

In order to pass on this culture, the Imperial Family also keeps silkworm racks inthe Imperial House and raises them.

Recently, due to the lack of successors of wild silkworm farmers, we are in a situation
where it is difficult to procure funds to maintain.

There used to be many silkworm farmers, but Tosaka Farm is now the only one.

However, the project was formed because cosmetics using cultured silkworms were on
the market and sales in Japan were sluggish.

As a product for inbound tourists from overseas, we have developed a cosmetic case
using maki-e that has been handed down in Wakayama Prefecture since the Edo period,
and are working to promote sales of wild silkworm cosmetics.
